Through the Years

Another late post =P There are tons of reason why I love November. I think I wrote about this in my November post last year... Hmm. Anyway, one of them is because this was the month when I first saw my "prince charming." And guess what, this is also his birth month! I want to take a quick stroll down to my memory lane... A lot has happened since I first met him. My life changed upside down. Not that I complain =)  First birthday together. I made his birthday cake, with the help of my Mom. I think he was quite surprised. Later that day we celebrated his birthday at Grand Indonesia (a very pretty Mall in Jakarta, Indonesia). I remember the Mall was just opened back then. It instantly became the most "stylish" place to hang-out.  Ah, back then I was so skinny *sigh* Anyway, I missed his 30th birthday because he was in the US while I was still in Jakarta. I somehow also do not have any picture of his 31st birthday :( But I think we celebrated it with

LA Weekend Trip - October 2012

Two weeks ago, we had a short weekend trip to LA to attend our friends' wedding party. We went there with quite a few of good friends. We rented two mini-vans and three hotel rooms to accommodate all 12 of us. It was a fun, but nevertheless very tiring trip. My husband was sick the day after we got back to San Jose. I quickly followed =( We took medication and actually are getting better by now. Anyway, forget the sad story and let's move on to the detail of our trip. On Friday, we departed from San Jose around 6 PM-ish. Fortunately, the traffic was good. We made a quick dinner stop at Gilroy Premium Outlet. Too bad, I didn't have time to check any shop =P We arrived around 11.30 PM at our hotel near LAX area. This time, we stayed at Courtyard by Marriott. Personally, I wasn't very satisfied with the hotel.  Our rooms weren't close to each other. Some were located in the left wing while others were in the right wing. To go to the other wing, we have to g

Happy Halloween!

Since both my hubby and I were born in Indonesia, we were not familiar with the Halloween tradition. Therefore, after moving to U.S. we usually don't celebrate Halloween at all =P However, this year my hubby's office held a Halloween celebration and every employees were encouraged to participate. Let me share my hubby's half-hearted effort. Photo Credit to AK Can you guess what he is? =P He was posing with one of our Indonesian friends who happens to work at the same office with him. Both of them couldn't come up with something more creative than that *LOL* Anyway, I have just returned from my LA weekend trip and started my internship. A lot of exciting things happened since my last posting. Will post more stories soon! Again, for those of you who celebrate Halloween ... Happy Halloween!
